Years Practicing Kendo/Iaido:

Locations Where Kendo was Learned:
I studied at the Utah Kendo
Dojo in Salt Lake City,
Utah. My teacher
was Mr. Ken Takeno.
Teaching Philosophy Summarized:
I believe that modern Kendo
training is the result of
the hard work of
many skilled and dedicated
people, over a period of
many years. I try
my best to remain faithful
to the traditional methods
taught to me by my
teachers.
I believe that Kendo is a
microcosm of life.
When we begin the study of
Kendo, we all encounter the
same obstacles of boredom,
frustration,
laziness, disappointment,
etc. We learn to
overcome those obstacles
through sincere effort,
cooperation with our fellow
Kendoists, patience,
and belief in ourselves.
The more we work to overcome
those obstacles
in the Kendo dojo, the
better prepared we are to
face the obstacles in
our everyday lives.
